The time to complete diploma requirements depends on the number of credits successfully completed prior to enrollment, regular attendance and the student’s individual work ethic. The courses are designed to be completed in class and are not correspondence or online courses, however some courses have online components. Each student decides on the number of courses to take at any one time. Materials and course syllabus will not be released until payment is made. You must be a resident of a participating district.

How to Apply

Come to the Lancaster County Academy to complete an application and a request for high school transcript form with the $25 application fee. When LCA receives your transcripts, an enrollment conference is scheduled. Since 8th grade reading and math skills are desirable for success, the TABE test can determine if you have the required academic foundation before you pay for a course. The TABE test takes about 90 minutes to complete is included in the application fee and is scheduled at your convenience.

Fees and Costs
  • $25 -Application Fee (non-refundable)
  • $25- 1st Semester User Fee(non- refundable)
  • $50- per Semester User Fee after 1st semester(Fall, Spring, Summer)
  • $100 per ½ credit
  • $200 per credit

* Students who withdraw within 2 weeks of entry may receive a 50% refund of credit fees.
* Students must remain a resident of a sponsoring school district to be eligible for a diploma.
* The diploma is issued by the school district of residence.
