Est. 1993

LCA is a unique high school option that empowers non-traditional students to earn their high school diplomas. We offer a flexible, personalized learning environment where students receive one-on-one support and self-paced instruction. Our unique features include a hybrid learning mode, small class sizes, and school-to-work coursework.

School Operation Info

Attendance

Students are expected to attend 16 hours per week, Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to noon. If students miss a day, they will be required to attend a makeup day on Friday, 8 a.m. to noon, at the East campus. Failure to comply with the attendance requirements may result in the student being withdrawn from the program.

Transportation

Lancaster County Academy does not provide transportation.

Diploma

Students from Lancaster County Academy receive a dual diploma. The dual diploma is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and is awarded on behalf of the student’s home school district and Lancaster County Academy. The Academy holds up to two graduation ceremonies a year, one in January and one at the end of the academic year.

School Notification System

LCA communicates with enrolled families using One Call Now. It allows us to deliver information and provide timely alerts to
our parents/guardians via phone calls, text messages, and/or email. Please email info@lancastercountyacademy.com if you need to update your contact information.

Safety is of the utmost importance to LCA. Learners, staff, and parents/guardians can confidentially report safety concerns, including bullying, weapons, and threats of violence to LCA staff or use the form below to electronically submit.
