How to Apply to LCA

Step 1: District Recommendation

Students interested in applying to LCA must be recommended by their sending district before completing the application process.

Step 2: Submit Your Application

Once recommended, students must complete the LCA Student Application and select a time to meet with the Director, Amanda Griffin, in person at the campus they will attend.

Step 3: Schedule Your In-Person Meeting

During the application process, you will be asked to schedule an in-person meeting with the Director at your designated campus. The director is available at each campus on the following days:

  • East Campus (Lancaster County Academy East – HACC)
    • Serves students from: Cocalico, Conestoga Valley, Lampeter-Strasburg, Manheim Township, Penn Manor, Pequea Valley, and Solanco
    • Director Availability: Mondays & Wednesdays
  • West Campus (Lancaster County Academy West – Cross Roads Church)
    • Serves students from: Columbia, Donegal, Elizabethtown, and Manheim Central
    • Director Availability: Tuesdays & Thursdays

Campus Locations & Directions

Lancaster County Academy East (HACC – Main Building)

Directions to LCA East (HACC – Main Building):

  1. Enter the Main Building at HACC (look for the large clock on the roof).
  2. Follow the hallway past the office on the left.
  3. At the security office, turn left.
  4. Take the elevators on the right to the third floor.
  5. Turn right off the elevator, walk to the end of the hallway, and turn left.
  6. Pass the water fountain and bathrooms on the left, and enter Room 306.
  7. Welcome to LCA East!

Lancaster County Academy West (Cross Roads Church)

Directions to LCA West (Cross Roads Church):

  • Use the side entrance labeled Children’s Church.
  • If the door is locked, use the doorbell for entry.

What to Bring to Your Meeting with the Director

đź“ť To ensure a smooth enrollment process, bring the following items to your meeting:

  • $25 for the Aptitude Test (Required for all applicants)
    • More information about the test can be found here
  • Completed Student Handbook Review
    • The handbook can be accessed here
  • Transportation Plan (How you will get to and from school)
  • Identification Documents:
    • Birth Certificate
    • Driver’s License or State ID
    • Social Security Card

Pro Tip:

  • If your meeting is scheduled at 9:00 AM or earlier, you can take the aptitude test the same day—this is highly recommended!
  • If your meeting is scheduled later in the day, you will need to schedule a separate appointment before 9:00 AM to take the test before enrollment.
