About the Director
Meet Amanda Griffin
Welcome to Lancaster County Academy! I am Amanda Griffin, the dedicated Director at LCA. With a Bachelor of Science in Education from Temple University and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University, I bring a rich background in both urban and rural education. I am currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership at Millersville University, enhancing my commitment to fostering an environment that supports every student’s success.
At Lancaster County Academy, we prioritize the needs of marginalized and at-risk students. My leadership is built on the belief that education should be accessible and equitable, focusing on the whole student—emotionally, socially, and intellectually. I have developed a collaborative and data-driven approach to ensure our programs not only meet educational standards but also align with the needs of our community, helping students to become resilient and critical-thinking members of society.
Before joining LCA, I gained invaluable experiences ranging from classroom teaching to administrative roles in diverse settings. My career has been marked by adaptability, dedication to student success, and a passion for working with educators and families to promote a supportive learning environment that extends beyond school walls.
A Personal Note
Outside of my professional life, I am an avid nature enthusiast. I love camping and hiking in national parks, with the Redwoods being my favorite adventure so far. I also enjoy exploring the vibrant life of Lancaster City, where I reside with my two children.
